Social Media Manager

You got what it takes to run and manage the social media of a swimwear & lingerie brand (Wicked Weasel)?

Marvvy, a direct-commerce marketing company, is seeking a detail-oriented Social Media Manager for immediate full-time hire to join its robust team of marketers, designers, content creators and technology experts.

This position will work closely with the Social Media Expert and Director of Customer Acquisition and is expected to:

  1. Curate daily content for the Wicked Weasel brand’s Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, & Youtube pages
  2. Execute branding strategies requested by marketing department (of course, we’ll want your input too)
  3. Write corresponding / supporting copy for the content of the above-mentioned pages
  4. Post content on all social media channels using Hootsuite or similar social media content scheduler
  5. Report on page growth numbers/ assigned metrics on a bi-weekly basis
  6. Manage all pages, posts by others, read member check-ins, alert customer service for questions, and act as support for the current community manager

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • Have a marketers eye. Know what’s on brand, and what’s off brand when building social pages
  • With 2-3 years of extensive experience in using social media pages, including Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube pages.
  • Be data savvy… experience with online monitoring and measurement platforms including Facebook Insights, YouTube Insights, Google Analytics, Twitter and Omniture is a plus
  • Basic understanding of SEO & hashtagging
  • Excellent written English is a must, understanding of times where it’s appropriate to use slang & market lingo
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • With ability to serve customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems

  • Must be open minded and comfortable with the content of the company website, from which swimwear and lingerie products are being showcased by women

Bonus Skills

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design is a plus while ability to create own images, would be a massive plus!
  • Experience in using Polyvore is another HUGE plus (loading, marketing, etc.)
  • Can produce data from past projects that show successfully managed social media page growth for businesses or social media influencers

Workstation Requirements
Mac or PC with at least 4GB of RAM and stable Internet connection

Work Arrangements:
This position requires 40 hours a week with an 8-hour block availability from Monday to Friday between 7am to 7pm AEST.
